BT Pole Safe Project
Since February 2013 we at HSC Worcester have been assisting BT Openreach with the “BT Pole Safe” Project.Designated decayed and damaged poles are selected by the Openreach “Pole Safe” Team to be tested before our Engineers remove the wires and plant.Once we have removed the wires and plant the poles are again tested and the results are recorded and returned along with the pole to Herriot Watt University where further tests are conducted on the pole itself.
Project summary
- Decayed and Damaged poles selected from across the BT Network .
- Pole Tested with and without wires and plant.
- Pole marked and returned to Depot for collection.
- Pole collected and delivered to Herriot Watt University for further examination.
- New pole installed.
